Electric Aircraft Modeling and Simulation

Learn how to model electric aircraft architectures with varying levels of model fidelity to achieve certain engineering objectives. Through a worked example of a notional hybrid-electric aircraft power system, this video will step you through considerations for aligning model fidelity with engineering tasks and provide guidance on modeling constructs for both desktop and real-time simulation. Multidomain physical modeling will be explored by considering thermal response and active cooling of the electrical generators. Finally, model sharing that protects intellectual property will be discussed through both model reference protection and the generation of standalone FMU components.
