Approximate Functions with HDL-Optimized Lookup Tables

This video explores the HDL-optimized feature of the Lookup Table Optimizer. The latency of the optimized lookup table and the spacing allowed by FPGA devices will be discussed. Lookup Table Optimizer generates optimized (memory-efficient) lookup tables that approximate existing Simulink® blocks, including Subsystem blocks and math function blocks, or a function handle. The optimizer supports any combination of floating-point and fixed-point data types.
